Food, Agriculture, and Health – March Nihongo Night

Today the term “Organic” is quite a boon in America. Do you know then what sort of agricultural techniques are used in the “Organic Produces”? What are the differences?

While Mr. J. I. Rodale proposed “Organic Agriculture” in post-war America, a theory of “Natural Agriculture” hatched in Japan.

“Natural Agriculture” uses absolutely no chemical fertilizers and no pesticides. I practiced it for the past 27 years to grow vegetables, and through numerous occasions during that time, I studied and experienced on the Agriculture, Environment, Food, and Health.

With my short presentation, I’d like to share with you what I have learned through “Natural Agriculture” and I hope to provide an opportunity to you to think about “Food, Agriculture, and Health” with me.

It is not a requirement, but we would appreciate if you can bring a dish or sweets to share.
